platelets of chips and skating santas

early morning
hospital routine - due for bag of platelets - but hey guess what they weren't there!! coupled with my hickman line NOT giving blood and so having to be stabbed , all is pretty much normal. Just glad not to be bleeding to death!!!!!!!!!!!!
Still I'm at home and cooked some late night chips still trying to work my way through the 5 bags that i accidently ordered through waitrose.........Healthy living
That was yesterday.
Today back to the hospital. The hickman line yields blood - yippee !
And the platelets arrive - bonus!!!
Still waiting to hear if they had the desired positive effect but my count is looking as if it may be on the rise - oh unpeeled fruit come to me !!!
Jane sent me some bandanas - very nice. My hair has all fallen out again and I think I may have to wear my wig sometimes - sick of looking like a cancer patient.
Boys are back this weekend - except Ell who I think is partying, it will be nice to see them.
I shoul have included this at Christmas - the strangest sight - i was walking down Piccadilly and all of a sudden about 300 skating santas came skating passed. It made me laugh and I just managed to snap this .........

Hi Moira, just thought I'd let you know that I am getting this Blog technology under control....see..... I have even commented!!! And I have filled in my profile as well as adding 5 new photos! How proficient is that?
Feeling pleased with myself so I will love you and leave you and wait for my hubby to return from the UK with his bags stuffed with Tesco goodies!!

feeling smug tonight after having cycled to work...have promised to myself I will cycle to work (and back) at least 100 times this year...so onyl 99 to go!

mmmmm didin't think I'd get away with that. There's some chance of the knitting being finished but I'm unsure you're aware of the large quilting pile I already have. Maybe when i retire to the country I can sit by the aga and quilt.
how can you feel smug after No. 1 ? get with it girl I'll applaud at 95 and if i get an exercise bike in my hospital room I'll race you........

Sandy, Stephanie, Bec and I dedicated this afternoon to beading.....I have so many gorgeous beads from Sydney that it makes it difficult to decide what to do (showed them to Russell and he pretended to be interested and reveal some of his feminine side!). Stephanie is the one with all the talent so we will have to stick close to her and hope some of it rubs off!
Bought a wind break down at the tentmakers today. Quite an unusual one...hope it's not too windy for the camping trip this weekend. The Murph's, Dickson's, Angus, Bec, Jess and Angus' mate John are all going. I'm chickening out because of the cold!!!! Said last Feb that I wasn't going out ever again before March....3 degrees tonight in Cairo...imagine what the desert is like!!!

Hello Moira, One home-made platelet well done!
We are all looking forward to seeing Elliott at w/e. Fred played rugby at Malvern yesterday and saw Elliott watching him setting up several tries. Played for the firsts all match- an ambition fulfilled, Last match of the season too.
Henry ran in the district cross country on Monday round Hereford racecourse and came second in his age group. Very happy Henry. Very proud parents!
It's been really cold here all week so lots of huddling by the wood burner and dressing up for bed, well Ken that is. What's new I hear you cry! We love reading your blog and seeing the funnies you find. Glad to hear the hosp. are checking every part of you before letting you move on to your next venue. Shame to hear that your hair is falling out again as William has purchased hair straighteners on Ebay and is looking for clients!
Have alovely w/e with Ross and George and Russell. Got to go now to take the Nova to the auctions.
