Day 1 - Chemo, Kings DMU (oops Russell's 2nd attempt)

Slept and drifted in and out, these are going to be busy days.....

I have very little break from the various infusions and the chemo makes me light headed. I am trying to keep awake when I'm untethered so I can exercise my lungs while I still have a little energy.

I can feel the slope pulling me down, but bring myself back to one day at a time and all of you out there willing me on. I have my little smiley man - thanks Carrie - and Huey (he's not bird fluey) the spring chicken, to keep me entertained.

Keep praying for me, the posts will get fewer as the side effects will really pick up once the cells go in next week.

One day at a time, one day.

Hi Moira, hard for me to pray and expect to be listened to! I think I used up my quota long since.

My "new hero" Russell, shines through again. Well done mate.

Nothing for it Mo but to give it your all. I'm right behind you (and you know what a fat bastard I am!). The big party (100 not out!) is on me.

Even though we don't have a datacard based internet connection set up for Moira's room in Kings DMU yet (next week!), I am downloading your posts each day at the flat then taking them down to Moira at Kings to read when she has the energy.

Caio Mo and Russ,
Fresh back from the piste, blizzards and prosecco.... had a great time despite the worste weather ever (and of course because you weren't there too!)! Boys skiing like demons...caught up with clan Rivers who were in the same resort slumming it (???) at club med up on the hill - we even got invited in for a drink - UCs (uncouth interlopers) rather than GMs(gentile members)!!!

Sounds like you're real heros - remember Gladiators and 'Hang Tough' - Well I'm picturing you both in very tight lycra, swinging from hoop to hoop high up above the arena...reckon you're about half way and your arms are starting to scream...but you both must HANG TOUGH and keep going swinging across hoop to hoop (and Russ don't worry about the lycra creeping up and starting to constrict those family jewels)...

You're never far from my thoughts...

It just makes me so cross that you have to do so much fighting to get sorted. I don't understand it, thank goodness for all the nice staff that you talk about. I like the sound of Peggotty and the coincidence of the pictures, you should manage to buy at least 2 or 3 for the new house in Malvern if it is still in the offing, if not I have got some very good painting by numbers of horses and donkeys that I could get done for you both.
