day + 70
@ Wednesday, Jun. 28, 2006 - 08:54:31 pmBack in Guthrie, had the mylotarg eventually on Tuesday. So glad I didn't check in on Sunday as I was suppposed to and I went home Monday night after spending all day here. Still here we are, the mylotarg is in and hopefully doing it's job. I had a reaction after, rigors or the shakes. which wasn't pleasant and they didn't seem to know whether it was the mylotarg or an infection. So now I'm on anti biotics as well which is a bit annoying but can't be helped just being safe.I'm hoping that everything goes ok today and tomorrow and they can let me out and I can be back on dailies. Still no results from the CMV which is annoying as it would be good to know we're beating the virus and I could stop those drugs too. But hey Rome wan't built in a day and I'm nothing if not patient. A patient patient! AAARGGGGHHH how infuriating.
I'm going to try and get out Friday night as it's Georges Birthday and I'd really like to be at home with him.
He and Ell come back from school that day and Ell goes off to Cairo on Saturday for 10days so it would be nice to have a nice birthday supper together.
So now it's late and I must away to bed, I had a late night flying visit from Jane and Jim, it was lovely to see them.
I've got tickets for wimbledon on Monday so I've got to get out of here!!!! And a new dress from LK Bennett to wear ( no shoes though!!!)
Might have to stop enroute - lets hope it doesn't rain ! In every sense of the word.
Night Night all you lovelies,
M

I have a lovely pair of raspberry suede heels ...."Hobbs" they are yours if ..........you batter that virus ....kick it into touch ....Mo , you can do it
Love ya L x
Good to know that you are going off to Wimbledon, shoes are not important and it will give the toe nails a chance to kick ass, as and when it is necessary. I have no shoes that you could borrow, mine have all kicked ass. Take care of yourself - don't get tired, and enjoy the day out with lots and lots and lots of love and kisses from Carry and associated animals and family.

Hey Mo, here we are in 32 degrees in Dallas. Got back to the airport and the hotel after our visit to you only to find that they'd over booked and we had to move somewhere else!!! Never mind the compensation was that we were upgraded to 1st so enjoyed a great flight. Now back at Sarahs - feting her with the Hello magazine, british newspaper and Colmans mustard!!! Stay cool and safe little one - will keep in touch. Lots of love,
Jane xxxxxxxxxxx

Wimbledon sounds fabulous. Hope there's a few prima donna players out there to make it all the more fun! I think I saw some freebie LK Bennett sandals attached to one of the women's magazines so maybe the hospital newsagents will do the trick-seriously, they came in 3 different colours! And you'd have something to read should the rain come down, which it won't, of course.
Have a lovely birthday meal with your boys.

Dear Mo
Just got in from a training run for the 5k 'Race for Life' I am doing with you in mind on July 12th. I use the word 'run' in the loosest of senses as I can walk Marathons but get me to jog and I struggle all the way. Still with some equally useless workmates we have galvanised ourselves into action and can now almost cover the distance with only a couple of walking 'rests'!!
We are off to Henley tomorrow and will think of you on Monday enjoying another great British summer sporting tradition. Hope you enjoy it - I just got some great shoes from Hobbs too so you could try there or send the troops on a raid!!
Happy Birthday George - hope you are all together tonight and have a special time.
Keep up the good fight - love as always Sarah xx

Hi there Mo
Hope you had a lovely night with your boys.
Rosy & Tom are popping over 'the other side of the mountains' to see us on tomorrow night so will be thinking of you - and will have some wine on your behalf. Enjoy Wimbledon - I'm very jealous (I just don't seem to organise my personal life to sort out such things as concerts etc).
Clare phoned in to night just to let us know that she is rather pink having been out on a boat & wake-boarding off Poole for most of the day - thought she had learned that lesson from our hols in Oz....
Keep strong.

Dearest Mo,so sorry to Spain I had to go,all the time in our thoughts, visited Basilicas great and small lit candles in them all, surprised none have burnt to the ground, held hands with your Super Mum,in front of high altars,in cool semi lit sancturies, sought to make you better with our combined thoughts.Mum a true Christian with me at heel trying to transcend all my thoughts.Just oh how we love you,and are often too far away to say with a look,or gentle squeeze,to size six frame, shortly to grace a dress of designer chique, that will only draw attention to the feet in a fit of pique,no choos!!I would suggest Boden wellies, then there would be no rain upon Wimbies prescious green.Stay well enough to enjoy, dont get too tired, and stop splashing in those puddles,in your new boots,Russ your call uplifted me thanks a million,Butchers van lurches to halt on approach to the loch restaurant,I top up the loch with my usual tears, arrive at kitchen to have chefs say,did ya break dowb Jimmy, only mentally I replied, trying toclear the water tracks from tanned face. The lack of blog is due to renewable inbuilt old persons non ability to cope with the Hi tec come home from Cairo Elli and get me computer fit.Love to all

Hey Dad - great blog. Assume Mum washing in tears today after the England debacle! The sad thing is they probably played their best of all the matches ... never mind, at least we can focus on other things now. Poor Claire having bad day in Florida: her phone got wet on one of the water rides so she can only send and receive text messages - no voice. Today Graham set of for Kennedy space centre to see the shuttle launch leaving Claire to have a day of retail therapy at the mall. Unfortunately her credit card packed up on her and after 3 successful pin attempts she was left at the mall with a useless phone, a blocked card and no money!!! and it was raining. Thankfully, she had a chilled bottle of Sav B. in the fridge back at the villa so she returned there for comfort. I'm sure we'll find time for some shopping together next week though and hopefully her card will work - failing that, there's always "the bank of Jim"!!!! Very hot here in Dallas - away for a siesta now before another night of fine dining and sav. blanc. Hope you've got the details through for Mum's flight down to Mo next weekend but I'll speak to you before then. Lots of Love Jane xxxxxxxxxxx

Moira & Russell
I will be looking out for you as I watch Wimbledon this evening - you should have given more description of the dress, or maybe I'll look out for waving bare feet! Hope you had a wonderful escape for a few hours.
Hope you had a family get together for George's birthday on Friday. Belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY from us (along with a big hug too). Friday evening we caught up with the Birrells & Werngrens at a Scottish evening held in the grounds of Balmoral. All things Scottish and some amazing stunt planes and even not many midges.
So, smash those baddies in your system; we're the supporting crowd, cheering your every point!
lots of love,
Fiona et al.

Dear Moira,
Thought I'd sent you a message (and a bag of energy) for Wimbledon the other morning but it must have flown into the ether!! - Hope you had a fantastic time!
Jack and Poppy are counting down the days to the end of term for 8 weeks of 'chillin' - I have an activity plan for when 'chillin' turns to bickering!!. I'm on annual leave at the end of July so hopefully we'll escape to Wales and Weymouth for some canoeing, camping and sailing.
Thinking of you all the time. Jux

Hi there.
Was thinking of you lots today. Clare and I were chatting and going through memories of sunny days (?)in Aberdeenshire you guys, Wood-Garlicks and Ashworths with all those boys and 'tricking' her. Why did none of you produce girls?
Head off to Ireland on Saturday but will plug into internet at some stage. We've had not great news about Dad - started with feeling tired, had some bloods couple of weeks ago and now has started chemo today for one of those other dreaded blood cancers (too long a name for me to remember and if I did then with it I'd be the tempted then to google it!) - we've decided we are not interested in prognosis and statistics - he has always had that wonderful attitude of treasuring every day and not spending too much mental energy looking back or forward.
Be strong - hoping to make a trip down your way in August.
Aine & Co.
